Most advisors and agents print on a black and white laser printer, 8.5" x 11" pages and staple in the left corner and mail in a 9 x 12 envelope.
If you want, you could take the file to a Kinkos and have the cover printed in color so that your photo also appears in color.
If you want to be very exacting, you can have the booklets printed for you in booklet format (8.5" x 5.5") as described here.
